Linda Joyce Brothers-Wood, age 76 of Smyrna passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at her home surrounded by family. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and world class Nana. One of Linda's greatest joys was spending time with her family. She was an amazing cook. Her southern chicken & dumplings and chocolate meringue pies were legendary. She loved teaching her grandchildren her cooking secrets.

A native of Rutherford county, she is the daughter of the late Jesse and Eva Burnett. Linda is also preceded in death by her first husband of 23 years, Louis Brothers, and her second husband of 30 years, Johnnie Lee Wood. And four siblings; Jesse William Burnett, Jerry Burnett, Billy Burnett, and Reba Bane. She is survived by her children; Ron (Naty) Brothers, Donna (Randy) Massa, and Tony (Angie) Brothers, step-children; Deloris (Dewey) Edwards, Johnnie (Velma) Wood, and Mary King. Grandchildren; Taylore Elassal, Courtney Freeman,  Karla Ramirez, Kelly Brothers, Krystin Moore, Drew Brothers, Jesse Brothers, Jackie Brothers, Kimberly Brothers, and Holden Massa; 9 great-grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 22 step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews spanning three generations; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Pallbearers: Jesse Brothers, Drew Brothers, Mark Moore, Rabeeh Elassal, Aaron Akagi, and Holden Massa.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to special friend and neighbor Randee Anderson and Tammy Algood Kilgore, along with other numerous friends and neighbors.

Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, December 12 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 13 at 11:00 AM with Tim Lavender officiating, burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
