LILLIAN ROWLAND, age 94, of Murfreesboro, died Tuesday August 21, 2012 at Adams Place. She was born in Soddy, TN and was the daughter of the late George and Minnie Brumlow. She moved to Middle Tennessee around 1935, and lived in Smyrna until 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ervin Rowland, great granddaughter, Raven Smotherman, sister, Helen Nichols, and brothers, Alton and Homer Brumlow. Mrs. Rowland is survived by son, Robert Larry Rowland; daughter, Sharon Harris (Dennis); granddaughter, Cassie Brandon (Joshua Smotherman); grandson, Joseph Brandon, five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 AM at Woodfin Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Creech officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel.
