Lillian Arnell Newton Bass, age 93, of Murfreesboro, died on Monday, May 13, 2013. She was a native of Pulaski, TN and the daughter of the late Okla and Annie Lou Blasingam Newton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herman Osteen Bass, and her son, Larry Glen Bass. Funeral services will be 12noon Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bro. Joe Vinson will officiate. Burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine and Joe Francis of The Woodlands, TX, brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Faye Newton of Columbia, grandchildren, Beth Bass Loughry and her husband Cannon, Bart Bass and his wife Bistany, Brad Bass and his wife Andrea, Joe Francis and his wife Mary Jo, and Barbara Francis, great grandchildren, John and Will Bass, Sam Bass, Chase, Brady, Andy, and Abby Loughry, Joe and Elizabeth Francis, and daughter-in-law, Janice Bass Fitzhugh and her husband Mike. Mrs. Bass was a member of the Southeast Baptist Church and a retired secretary with the maintenance payroll department at Middle Tennessee State University.
