Lillian Beatrice Blalock, passed away, Monday, June 16, 2014. Predeceased by her husband, mother, her father, her stepmother (Nellie Gray Moore), her brothers McCain and Boyd Gilliland. Born October 27, 1920 to Ollie Franklin Gilliland and Mattie Bryant. Graduated from Christiana High School and attended one year of St. Thomas Hospital School of Nursing before marrying William T. Blalock Jr. on June 7, 1941 of Fosterville, TN prior to his years overseas in the army. Lived most of their lives in Rutherford County except for the years he was in the honey bee business primarily in Nebraska. She retired from the Murfreesboro Medical Clinic in 1983. Survived by children, Patricia Carmody (Seth), Nancy Kirschbaum, and Ted Blalock (Carol). Grandchildren Anne, Michael and Daniel Carmody, Brett Kirschbaum, Amanda and Leigh Blalock plus 13 great grand children and one great-great grandchild. Graveside Service Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 10 AM Roselawn Memorial Gardens with visitation one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
