Lester Leon McMahan, age 96 of Murfreesboro died Sunday December 3, 2017. He was a native of Cannon County and was the son, John T. McMahan, and Nora Bryant McMahan. Mr. McMahan was a member of Science Hill Church of Christ, and a United States Army Veteran having served during WWII and the battle of Iwo Jima. He was a retired Electrician at MTSU and General Electric.

Mr. McMahan is survived by his wife, Willie Donnie McMahan; children, Larry McMahan and wife Barbara of Murfreesboro, John McMahan and wife Carol of Murfreesboro, Linda Harrell of Bradyville, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10AM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother Herb Alsup  and Brother Nickey Nichols will officiate. Burial will follow in McMahan Cemetery. Visitation will be 3PM to 7PM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. www.woodfinchapel.com
