Leslie Wilburn Gentry, age 81 of Smyrna, TN, died Sunday June 23, 2013. A native of Dickson, County, he was the son of the late Oscar Jesse and Dona Rene Luther Gentry. Mr. Gentry was also preceded in death by a son, Jackie Lamar Gentry and four brothers. Mr. Gentry is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Jean Nicholson Gentry; daughters, Linda Jean Denny and her husband Rick of Shelbyville, TN and Joanie Lynette Barrett and her husband Sam of Smyrna, TN; daughter-in-law, Debbie Gentry of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters, Mary Huper of Smyrna, TN, Annie Katz of Edgewood, TX, and Judy Bundren of Arvada, CO; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Giles Creek Baptist Church, 7084 Rocky Fork Road, Smyrna, TN 37167. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Giles Creek Baptist Church with Brother Terry Campbell officiating. Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Pegram, TN with Tim, Eric, and Todd Barrett, Sean and Ryan Denny, and Randy Gentry serving as pallbearers.
