Leonard Howlett Wood, age 87, of Smyrna, TN, died Monday, May 28, 2018. A native of Rutherford County, TN, he was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Mallie Mae Toombs Wood.

He is survived by his sister, Edna Farmer; nephew, Dennis Johnson and his wife Janet all of Smyrna; along with much loving extended family.

A member of the Church of Christ, he was a retired Carpenter with Williams Cabinet Shop. He served proudly in the United States Army.

A graveside service will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Mr. Wood can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
