LEONARD MICHAEL (LEE) PIASECKI age 85 of Smyrna, died Thursday November 29, 2011. A native of Nanticoke, PA, he was the son of the late Zigmund and Elizabeth Hughes Piasecki. He is preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth Piasecki Donovan. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna, with Brother Todd Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with grandsons and son in laws serving as pallbearers. Mr. Piasecki is survived by his wife of 62 years Betty Piasecki, son Mike Piasecki of Chattanooga, daughters Barbara (Tom) Barnett of Oliver Springs, Susan (Mickey) Quinn of Smyrna, and Linda (Richard) McBride of Lavergne, 11 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Mr. Piasecki was a Retired Major from the U.S. Air Force after 23 years of service. He was also a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving in World War II. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Lung Association, or to Alive Hospice.
