LEON M. HOBBS, JR. age 81 of Murfreesboro, died Monday, August 31, 2009. A native of Birmingham, Alabama he grew up in Lumberton, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Leon M. Hobbs, Sr. and Evelyn Campbell. Mr. Hobbs is survived by his wife of 55 years Dolores G. Hobbs, children Leon (June) M. Hobbs III of Pooler, GA., daughter Lynn (John) Hobbs Davis of Lawrenceville, GA., Kendall (Jeff) Adams of Westerville, OH., James (Beth) G. Hobbs and Robert (Anabell) A. Hobbs both of Murfreesboro, TN., Brothers Ray Hobbs of Atlanta, GA., Larry Hobbs of Greenville, N.C., 17 Grandchildren, and 6 Great Grandchildren. He graduated from N.C. State University as a Mechanical Engineer and was a founding partner of the engineering firm Rosser International in Atlanta, GA. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2009 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with visitation beginning 1:00 p.m. Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
