Leeida Smith Bowen, age 63 of LaVergne, TN died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at StoneCrest Medical Center. She was a native of Whitesburg, KY and a daughter of the late James Smith and Aleda Camplin. She was also preceded by two brothers, Denny Smith and Duane "Brown" Smith. Survivors include her husband Raymond R. Bowen, Sr.; step-son Raymond R. Bowen, Jr. of Bullhead, AZ; sons, Jason Bowen of Antioch and Scott Bowen and his wife Alyse of Marion, AR; step-daughter Lori Lynn Newton and her husband Roger of Idaho; sisters Phyllis Fullenkamp and her husband Lanny of Dayton, OH and Margaret Kauska and her husband Kevin of Helena, MT; a brother James "Jimbo" Smith of Dayton, OH; her best friend of 50 years Hazel Gibson and a host of grandchildren and other loving family and friends. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 2:00pm until the time of funeral services beginning at 3:30pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.
