LEE WAYNE ROWLETTE, SR. PA PA age 71 of Murfreesboro, TN, went home to be with his Lord, Wednesday July 28, 2010. A native of Murfreesboro, TN, he was the son of the late Lee Gaines and Annie Benson Rowlette. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Mr. Rowlette is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Nancy Satterfield Rowlette; daughters and sons in law, LeeAnn and Brian Worley and Tammy and Steve McCauley all of Murfreesboro, TN; sons and daughters in law, Ray and Teresa Taylor of Smyrna, TN, Jimmy and Michele Taylor of Illinois, and Lee Jr. and Tonya Rowlette of Midland; 18 grandchildren, Katelyn, Cameron, Austin, and Brianna Worley, Nicholas, Ryan, and Morgan McCauley, Ashley and Joshua Taylor, Megan, Douglas, Taryn, and Nathan Taylor, Brandon and Jennifer Rowlette, Cheyennena and Gregory Althoff, and Kasie Raymann; four great-grandchildren, Reese Taylor McCauley, Lillee Grace Rowlette, Kailee Grace Taylor, and Kenzie Taylor Bramel. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mike Satterfield officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Rowlette was a member First Free Methodist Church, a U.S. army veteran where he was a Paratrooper serving in the 101st and 173rd Airborne and 1st Calvary of the Vietnam War. He also played football for the Army. Mr. Rowlette served three tours in Vietnam, 12 years of active service and 4 years in the army reserve. He was a 1956 graduate of Central High School where he was also an outstanding football player. Mr. Rowlette retired in 2002 from USA Today Rack Room. Pallbearers will be Ray, Jimmy, and Douglas Taylor, Steve, Nicholas, and Ryan McCauley, Brian Worley and Brandon Rowlette. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Climer, Cameron Worley and Joshua Taylor.
