Lee Ridley Fly, age 91, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-eight years, Benjamin H. Fly; parents, Thomas and Margaret Ridley; brothers, Christy Ridley and Oscar Thomas Ridley Jr.; and grandson, Kyle Fly. Mrs. Fly is survived by children, Elaine Fly Whitney and husband, James of Suwanee, GA, Ann Fly Landgraf and husband, William of Niles, MI, Ben Fly and wife, Marti of Porter, TX; David Fly and wife, Faith of St. Augustine, FL, Paul Fly and wife, Sue of Kennesaw, GA; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and several niece, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Fly was born on February 11, 1933 in Murfreesboro, TN. She graduated in 1954 from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor's Degree, and then from Michigan State University with a Master's Degree. Mrs. Fly retired from White County School System as a speech therapist. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Murfreesboro, TN, a member of, and on the board of, St Rose's Ladies Guild; a member of the Women's Club of Murfreesboro; a member of the Stone's River Kiwanis Club; a member of Delta Gamma fraternity; and a member of Kiwanis Club in Cleveland, GA. A Funeral Mass will be on Saturday January 11, 2024 with a viewing at 10:30 a.m. at Woodfin Funeral Chapel prior to the Mass at 12:00 noon at St Rose Catholic Church, followed by reception at the church and then burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Murfreesboro.
