Lawrence "Larry" W. Tolliver, 72, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, January 11, 2016, at NHC in Murfreesboro. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Redith Tolliver of Louisville, Kentucky. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 49 years, Loretta Harvey Tolliver, son Darron "Chip" Tolliver and wife Jackie of Murfreesboro, daughter Trina Tolliver Haug and husband Eric of Cincinnati, four grandchildren, Andrew, Julia, Mike, Matt, and two great-grandchildren, Daisy and Blaine, and also a large circle of extended family. Mr. Tolliver was born in Eastern Kentucky and grew up in Charlestown, Indiana. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1961-1965. After receiving his Master's degree at M.T.S.U., Mr. Tolliver spent the majority of his working career in executive management within the steel industry in Ohio. He retired in 2008, allowing him and his wife to return to Murfreesboro to enjoy retirement among family and friends. He was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church and was an active citizen within the community. He will be sadly missed by his loving family, respected colleagues and dear friends.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Dr. Jim Clardy and Dr. Craig Goff officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 13, 2016 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
