Lawrence "Larry" Spencer, age 89 of Murfreesboro,TN died Wednesday February 1, 2017. He was a native of England and was the son of the late Cecil and Ethel Spencer. Larry was also preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Spencer. He was a World War II Veteran of the Royal Navy and was former owner of Carpet Market in Guilford, CT. After retiring in Florida, Larry enjoyed working at Fish Cove Mini Golf in Port Charlotte, FL. He and his wife moved to Tennessee in 2005 and enjoyed the lake for boating and fishing.

He is survived by his daughters, Evette Yukich of Murfreesboro, Michele Klaeren and husband Dan of Valrico, FL; grandchildren, Cameron Yukich, Molly and Nicholas Klaeren; sister-in-law, Ann Becker of Maine; niece, Emma Becker, and nephew, James Becker
