LAWRENCE EDMUND KILBRIDGE age 81 of Murfreesboro died suddenly February 13, 2009. A native of New York he was born April 4, 1927. He was the son of the late Michael and Louise Faulk Kilbridge. He is survived by his children and there spouses Mary Ellen Carlen and Christopher of Murfreesboro, Michael Joseph and Jackie Leto Kilbridge Sr. of New York, Diana Lynn Kilbridge and Cheryl Graham of Murfreesboro, daughter Eileen Alicia Kilbridge of Murfreesboro, and his grandchildren Edmund J. Kilbridge, Melissa Kilbridge, Amanda Postilione, Michael J. Kilbridge Jr., Mathew V. Kilbridge, and Mark Kilbridge. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years Mary Margaret Kilbridge, and an eldest daughter Emily Louise Postilione. Our father joined the Navy at the age of 17 and served on the USS Manifee during World War II as a Machinist Mate. He was honorably discharged as such at the end of the war. He became an engraver and later retired as a security supervisor for Chase Manhattan Bank. Each was a better than 20 years of service. He raised his family in New York and retired to Tennessee. His wonderful sense of humor and charitable nature will truly be missed by all. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, with Reverend Richard Gagnon officiating.
