Lawrence Alton Hopkins age 79 of Murfreesboro, passed away Monday March 30, 2015. A native of Mobile, Alabama he was the son of the late Wilber and Lillian Cochran Hopkins. He is also preceded in death by his step-father; Thomas Britt, a brother; Clifford Hopkins, and a sister; Betty Coats. Mr. Hopkins is survived by his wife of 52 years; Gertrude Hopkins, and his children; sons; Larry Hopkins of Florida, Mark Hopkins of Utah, daughters; Tammy Thornton of Tennessee, Shelia Bloomdale, Tina Matthews, both of Utah, son; Danny Hopkins, daughters; Bridgette Watts, Katy Glenn, and Rosie Robinson all of Tennessee. He is also survived by a brother; Michael Hopkins, sisters; Patricia Eiland both of Alabama, and Rose Grant of Florida. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
