Laura "Laurie" Ann Jarrell

Ms. Laura “Laurie” Ann Jarrell, age 74, of Hermitage, TN, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2026. Born in Cincinnati, OH, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Loretta Reis.

Laurie dedicated 39 years of her life to serving as a psychologist with Metro Nashville Schools, a career that she was truly passionate about. She also generously dedicated her Mondays to Meals on Wheels. She was an avid Red Cross Blood donor, donating every 90 days for years. She loved to teach anyone who would listen and had a sense of calm about her that was contagious. Laurie never met a stranger and always treated her daughters' friends like family. To many she was a second mom. She enjoyed reading, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she cherished dearly.

Laurie is survived by her loving daughters, Elizabeth (Kyle) Mooneyham, and Katie (Vinny) Liebner; grandchildren, Julia and Cameron Mooneyham, Lindsey Beckmann, and Abby and Emma Liebner; brother, Dave (Terri) Reis; and sister, Marybeth (Rick) VanZandt.

Cremation is under the direction of Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
