Laura Frances Huddleston Boyd, age 96, of Murfreesboro, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012. She was a native of Cedar Hill in Robertson County and the daughter of the late Issac William and Estie Bell Maynor Huddleston. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Thompson Boyd, children, James David Boyd, Jack Wayne Boyd, Johnnie William Billy Boyd, sister, Edith Sybil McClain. Funeral service will be 11:00am Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Boyd is survived by her children, Doris Leonard of Readyville, Richard Rich Boyd of Nashville, Jean Jenkins and her husband Herb of Murfreesboro, sister, Willie Bell Farris of Tullahoma, daughters-in-law, Joane, Annette, and Maxine Boyd, grandchildren, Diane Leonard Church and her husband Jerry of Readyville, Debbie Elaine Zawol and her husband David of Plymouth, MI, Danny Wayne Boyd and his wife Gail of Murfreesboro, Donnie Cherry Lambert of Sparta, Lori Ann Smithson and her husband Gary of Murfreesboro, Leah Lorraine Boyd of Murfreesboro, Tracy Scott Boyd and his wife Amy of Shelbyville, Brett Edward Boyd of Fayetteville, Kimberly Dawn Cox and her husband Lyman of Fayetteville, Pete Holliman and his wife Erica of Unionville; great grandchildren, Dana Church Hobbs of Christiana, Celina Renee Zawol of Plymouth, MI, Heather Marie Fendelet of Plymouth, MI, Stacy Renee Eakes and her husband David of Murfreesboro, Shauna Kovaskitz and her husband Seth of Destin, FL, Savannah Cox of Fayetteville, Jordon Cox of Fayetteville, Ty Colton Boyd of Fayetteville, Kylie Rae Boyd of Fayetteville, Colin Walker Boyd of Shelbyville, Kara Ashland Simmerly and Maddox Cooper Boyd of Shelbyville and Brianna, Ethan, and Amelia Holliman; great, great grandchildren Dwayne Hobbs and Lily Kovaskitz, and great great great grandchild, Jerry Wayne Hobbs, Jr. Mrs. Boyd was a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church and a Customer Service Representative with Singer Distribution until her retirement. Memorials may be made to the Cannon County Arts Center in memory of Mrs. Boyd.
