Laura Dozier, age 33 of Lascassas, died Monday, August 10, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Rutherford County and was a daughter of Anita and Mark Dozier of Lascassas. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Jennifer Dozier Green; most adored nephew, Gabriel Powell; son, Eric Hanna; daughter, Sabrina Hanna; and her boyfriend, Clint Jernigan; all of Lascassas; uncles and aunts, John and Jacquey Riser of Marion, NC, Jim and Wanda Riser of Murfreesboro, Roger and Debbie Riser of Liberty, Russ and Margot Riser of Christiana, Don and Sandra Bogle of Knoxville, Dan and Sandy Bogle of Murfreesboro, Billy and Connie Hutchinson of Lascassas; special friends, Dr. Michael McQuarrie of Murfreesboro; her other mother, Shelby Williams; adopted grandmother, Virginia Clark of Murfreesboro; Lucky the cat; many cousins and many, many friends. Laura had a passion for cooking and sharing food and recipes with family and friends. She loved to garden, be outdoors and ride her bicycle. Laura worked at Twin Oaks Primary Care as a Medical Assistant where she loved to provide care for her patients that adored her. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of memorial services beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with her uncle, John Riser officiating. Laura's family would like to thank everyone for their love, support, and prayers the past sixteen months as she battled cancer.
