Laura Gayle Clanton, age 74 of Murfreesboro, died Sunday, September 6, 2015. She was born in Chattanooga and was the daughter of the late L.T. and Gladys King Bellar. Survivors include a son, Charles William Clanton and wife Lisa of Spring Hill; daughters, Laura Clanton MacDermott of Smyrna and Lisa Ann Clanton of Tullahoma; three grandchildren, Jordan Clanton Leach and husband Drew of Morristown, and Marisa and Mary MacDermott, both of Nashville. Mrs. Clanton was raised in Shelbyville and was a 1958 graduate of Shelbyville High School. She attended the Main Street Church of Christ and later the Wartrace Church of Christ. She worked many years with Olan Mills Photography and later at Bella Optical in Murfreesboro. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00am until the time of funeral services beginning at 1:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Nashville at 3:00pm.
