Larry Paul Pearson , age 72 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016. He was born in Gallatin, TN, but was raised in Charlestown, IN. Mr. Pearson was the son of the late Paul Anderson and Evelyn Braswell Pearson. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy Ray and Jerry Lee Pearson.

Mr. Pearson is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy June Cole Pearson; a son, Dr. Brooks Pearson and his wife April, of Conway, AR; sister, Betty Ann Pearson Crace and her husband Bill, of Charlestown, IN; grandchildren, Fletcher, Stewart, and Meredith Pearson all of Conway, AR.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Dr. Kenneth Summey officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Pearson was a member of the First Baptist Church, Charlestown, IN, and a retired teacher from Reeves-Rogers Elementary. He was also the Director of Social Studies for the Tennessee Department of Education.
