LAKETA ROSE HUGHES SCHOEN age 43 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Wednesday July 30, 2008. A native of Cannon County, she was the daughter of Oleta Smithson Hughes Thompson of Murfreesboro, TN and the late Cecil Wayne Hughes. Funeral service will be 2:30 PM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Brian Harrell and Barry Mershon officiating. Laketa is survived by her husband, Mike Schoen, son, Lance Schoen of Murfreesboro , TN, daughter and son-in-law, Celia and David Bernheisel of Knoxville, TN, mother, Oleta Smithson Hughes Thompson of Murfreesboro, TN, brother and sister-in-law, Wade and Debby Hughes of Knoxville, TN, and sister- in-law, Sherry Hughes of Milton, TN. Laketa was a homemaker and a former Administrative assistant with NHC, and was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Wayne Hughes who died in April 2008. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Pregnancy Support Center, and Way FM Christian organization in memory of Laketa.
