Mrs. Laketa Francis Hockett Powers, age 55, of Christiana, TN went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 21, 2017. She was born in Rutherford County, TN to the late Lindell and Dorothy Fox Hockett. Mrs. Powers was a teller for Bank of America. She was a believer in Jesus Christ and was a member of Southeast Baptist Church.

Mrs. Powers is survived by her children, Trice Powers and his wife Erin of Manchester, TN and Lindsey Powers of Christiana; granddaughter, Karlie Chapman; brother, Bobby Hockett and his wife Kathy; nephew, BJ Hockett and his wife Kayla; niece, Twana Hockett; and special aunt, Sandra Porter and her husband Lonnie all of Christiana.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 9:00am until 11:00am at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Shelton Cemetery.
