Obituary

Kimberlee Kay King Kline, age 53 of Murfreesboro, Tennessee passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 at her home following a courageous fight with cancer. Kim was born January 17, 1962 in Beckley, West Virginia, the beautiful daughter of Russell F. and Marcia Kay Persinger King of Lewisburg, West Virginia who survive her. Kimberlee is also survived by her husband of 33 years, Steve Kline; a son, Steve Kline II and his wife Pasha of Murfreesboro, TN; a brother, Russell F. King II and his wife Tiffany of Charleston, WV; and sisters, Katherine B. Arvay of Fairport, NY, and Kerry L. King-Carmona and her husband Cid of Kenner, LA; grandchildren, Khalen, Ava, Laila, Mya, and Madori Kline as well as her faithful companions Lily and Lucy. Kim attended Concord University and graduated from Southern West Virginia Community College as a Registered Nurse. After graduation, Kimberlee worked for the Monroe Carell, Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt for 26 years. Kim was a myriad of qualities to a lot of people. To her family and friends, she was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, sister, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. At work, she loved helping the children and was loved by all of her associates. Kim was a giver and was always following the Golden Rule. She recently wrote, "I am grateful for every day I can wake up and put my feet on the floor. I'm grateful that my child, grandchildren, husband and family are all alive and healthy. Everything elsewell, everything else is icing on the cake." She went on to write "Life is hard. It's full of devastation and heartache. But, if you can stop and pause, take time to live in the present, you can always find the greatness and kindness of life, Or, at the very least find something to make you smile and bring you a moment's peace or healing. If you take time to be still, be alive where you are, you can find it" Kim attended World Outreach Church and was a lover of life with God's creations. Her best friends were Lily and Lucy, her two dogs that were under her feet all the time at home and she loved them dearly. She loved to garden and spend time in her yard. In recent years, Kim started quilting and made some beautiful, creatively designed quilts. Whatever she attempted, she would never give up until she had it nearly perfect. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 4:00 pm until the time of funeral services beginning at 6:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro. Pastor Allen Jackson will officiate.
