Kerry David Hand, age 56, passed away Monday, May 11, 2026 with family by his side. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry and Eloise Hand; and maternal grandparents, Judson and Ruth Dew.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Clarissa Hand; sons, Alex Hand (Kiana) and Deklan Hand; parents, David and Dr. Mary Frances Hand; brother, Kevin Hand (Janelle); sister, Katie Barnes (Sean); nieces and nephews, Kristen Herbert (Carson), Kayleigh Clary (Shane), Kourtney Barnes, Adrianna Hand, Nathaniel Hand, Ethan Hand, Mackenzie Childs (Kaleb), Vanessa Davis, Samantha Davis, and Ian Davis; father and mother-in-law, Jerry and Mary Davis; brother-in-law, Chad Davis (Nichole); and many other family and close friends.
Kerry was a proud graduate of Smyrna High School Class of 1991, where he spent several years playing tennis. He continued his education at Middle Tennessee State University, earning his bachelor’s degree before going on to a successful career in business. At the time of his passing, Kerry served as Vice President of VZURE, where his hard work, leadership, and integrity earned the respect of all who knew him.
Kerry was known for always doing the right thing, and his character spoke louder than words ever could. He had a joyful spirit, loved making others laugh with a good joke, and enjoyed spending time on the golf course. A devoted member of World Outreach Church, Kerry’s faith was the foundation of his life. Above all, he was most proud of his faith, his beloved wife, his sons, and the family he cherished deeply.
A private visitation will be held for the immediate family. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
