KERMIT NEAL THORNBURG, age 57, of Smyrna, Tn. died Saturday, November 15, 2008 at his home. He was born in Greene County, Tn. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jones Thornburg; mother, Betty Jane Thornburg, Fall Branch, Tn; son, Mickey Thornburg and his wife, Jennifer of Smyrna; brother, Dwight Thornburg and his wife, Lois of Fall Branch, Tn.; three grandchildren, Seth, Ryan and Elijah Thornburg. Visitation with the family will be 4-7 pm Monday at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna with a Celebration of Life to follow at 7 pm. Graveside services will be at 11 am Wednesday at the Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Greene County, Tn. Mr. Thornburg was a retired regional supervisor with Sprint with 33 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Thornburg.
