Kent Baker Duncan, age 83, of Murfreesboro passed away on Monday, January 20, 2014. He was a native of Chilhowie, VA and the son of the late James and Ruth Duncan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lettie Grace Dove Duncan, who passed in 1987. Graveside service 2:30pm Friday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Military honors. He is survived by his daughters, Debby Duncan of Murfreesboro, Donna Lyon and her husband Charles of Chattanooga, Diane Stanfield and her husband Charles of Murfreesboro, sister, Shirley Duncan of Gillett, TX, grandchildren, Lindy Fowler and her husband Shaun, Jimmy Stanfield and his wife Danielle and great grandson, Jackson Fowler. Mr. Duncan served his country in the United States Air Force for 21 years until his retirement as a Senior Master Sergeant. After serving in the Korean War, the Air Force took him to several bases throughout the United States and abroad. Upon retirement, he enjoyed being with his grandchildren and also illuminating his neighborhood at Christmas with a magical light display.
