Mr. Kenneth Ownbey, age 62, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Friday, June 10, 2016. He was born in Denver, CO to the late Kenneth Lonzo and Edith Ruth Ownbey, Sr. Mr. Ownbey retired as a project manager and was a faithful member of Barfield Baptist Church. He was known for the love of his faith, family and UT football. His quick wit and sense of humor always brightened the days of his fellow choir members.

Mr. Ownbey is survived by his wife of 13 years, Pattie Ownbey; daughter, Dosha Smith and her husband Allen of Ringgold, GA; son Travis Mark Ownbey and his wife Julie of Hurricane, WV; step-children, Craig Robinson and his wife Nikki of East Ridge, TN, Carie Huffman and her husband Chris of Rockvale, TN, Candace Heidlebaugh and her husband Jimmy of Portales, NM; ten grandchildren; and sister, Karen Crabtree. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Kim Kennedy.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 2:00pm at Barfield Baptist Church, 1033 Barfield Church Rd, Murfreesboro, TN 37128.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 10:00am until 12:00noon at Fairview Church of the Nazarene, 2009 McFarland Ave, Rossville, GA 30741. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 1:00pm also at Fairview Church of the Nazarene.
