KENNETH W. MITCHELL, age 52, of Murfreesboro, passed away June 6, 2012 at home following a valiant four-year battle against cancer. He was a native of Detroit, MI. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 AM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Monte Kapavik officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Mitchell; daughter, Melissa Greene Campbell and her husband, Jeremy, and daughter, Katie Greene Roney and her husband, Caleb; granddaughters, Carmen Elizabeth Roney and Anna Joy Campbell; father and stepmother, Clarence and Betty Ann Mitchell; sisters, Debbie Brewer, Sharon Brewer and Cynthia Bratcher;; brother, Glen Mitchell; and several nieces ands nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Yvonne Joan Cook. Mr. Mitchell was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ and was a carpenter and homebuilder, and an inspector with The Department of Codes for the City of Murfreesboro. He was a 1978 graduate of Riverdale High School and attended MTSU. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
