KENNETH EARL MATTHEWS, age 67, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee died November 29, 2008 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. He was born in Union, S. C. and was the son of the late Ira Eugene & Irene Thelma Moss Matthews. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Matthews; son, Richard (Denise) Matthews of Union, S. C.; daughter, Dawn (Keith) Medlock, Spartanburg, S. C.; brother, Gene (Carolyn) Matthews of Union, S. C.; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a niece and a nephew; step daughter, Sharon Venable of Murfreesboro; step son, Troy Venable of Murfreesboro, seven step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 pm Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with services to follow at 7 pm with Rev. Carl Scarlett officiating.
