Kenneth Cary Byers,III age 73 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Saturday July 11, 2015. A native of Grand Rapids, MI, he was the son of the late Kenneth Cary Byers, II. He was also preceded in death by his wife Mari Burwell Harpole Byers. Mr. Byers is survived by his mother, Billie May Landrum Byers; daughters; Jenefer Sullivan, Shannon Byers, Rebecca Murphy,and Rachel Mityok; grandchildren; Jon Thomsen, Ian Carter, Vincent Murphy, Mikayla Mityok, Lauryn Sullivan, Brittany Murphy, Harley Mityok, Andrew Murphy, Evelynn Mityok, Jackson Mityok, Allison-REI Mityok. He worked in Television from 1967-2007, Channel 10 Miami Florida 1967- 1975, Channel 2 Nashville Tennessee 1975-1988, and Middle Tennessee State University 1988-2007 when he retired. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery 2:00 PM Sunday August 23, 2015. Mr. Byers was a US Army veteran and was a retired Educator.
