Ken Gayton, age 56 of Dickson, TN died Saturday surrounded by his family. He was a native of Atlanta and was preceded in death by his mother Peggy Ann Gayton. Survivors include his father and step-mother, B.R. and Irene Gayton and his son Garrett Gayton all of Covington, GA; a sister, Deborah Counter and her husband Steve of Murfreesboro, TN; a half-brother, Keith Burdette and his wife Belinda of Meansville, GA; a grandson, Landen Gayton; nieces and nephews, Brittany Burdette of Meansville, GA, Shane Jackson and his wife Kristin and Cody Counter all of Murfreesboro,TN and Josh Counter of Nashville, TN; great niece and nephew Cammy and Cruz Jackson; faithful companion and "a good dog" Brandy Gayton. Mr. Gayton was a carpenter by trade and until his retirement worked at Ft. McPherson in Georgia. A graveside service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, GA.
