KEITH PORTER, age 56, of Smyrna, died July 11, 2010. Mr. Porter was a native of Huntsville, AL, and son of the late Bryce and Peggy McCluskey Porter. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Burial will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Old Union Cemetery in Fayette Co., AL. Mr. Porter is survived by his wife, Carla Porter; daughter, Kristen Beistel of Murfreesboro; son, Drew Porter of Huntsville, AL; step daughter, Rachel Chelmecki of Michigan; brother, Steve Porter of Huntsville, AL; and granddaughter, Kylie Porter. Mr. Porter was a twelve year veteran of the U.S. Army having served as a medic. He was an employee of Baptist Hospital Lab Department. Mr. Porter was also a Mason.
