Kay Cox, age 72, of Murfreesboro, TN, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 20, 2019. A native of Berwind, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Evelyn Byrd Canterbury. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Canterbury Jr.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Florence Baptist Church. Rev. Trey Gamble will officiate. A graveside service will be Saturday at 12:00 noon in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ray Cox; daughters, Shari Parker and her husband Mark of Lascassas, TN and Lisa Ann Cox of Smyrna, TN; grandchildren, Sami and Beth Parker of Lascassas, TN; sister, Rena Gibson and her husband Gordie of Stuarts Draft, VA; and brother, Richard Canterbury of Bluefield, WV.

Mrs. Cox was a member of Florence Baptist Church where she served proudly as secretary for nine years. She was a retired Office Manager with Hospital Home Health in Smyrna. She enjoyed arts and crafts.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Florence Baptist Church.
