Kathryn Ann Ford, age 77 of Smyrna, TN died Thursday November 17, 2022. Ann was born in Hokes Bluff, AL and grew up in Springville, AL. She lived most of her life in Nashville and later years in Smyrna.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon McWhirter, parents, William Brandon Ford and Ruby Everett Ford, and sister Martha Jean.

Ann attended the University of Alabama and retired from Roadway Express after more than 30 years. She enjoyed staying physically fit which enabled her to travel and hike in all of the major National Parks, including Smoky Mt. National Park. Ann also traveled internationally in Europe and the Caribbean islands. She was a life long lover of animals and enjoyed daily walks with her dogs.

Ann is survived by her children, Lawrence Edward "Ted" Burch and wife Bonnie, and Christina Hutchinson and husband Erik; stepchildren, Scott McWhirter and wife Jennifer, and Troy Hunter and wife Amanda; step grandchildren, Promise and Chloe.
