KATHLEEN GROVES GANNON GILLEY, age 93 died Monday May 14, 2012. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Columbus and Annie Helen Zumbro Gannon Sr. She was a 1937 graduate of Central High School and a member of Florence Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a retired certified nurse technician from Community Care of Rutherford County. Mrs. Gilley is preceded in death by son James Andrew Gilley, Grandson Randy Gilley, brother Leroy Columbus Gannon Jr., James B. Gannon, sisters Annie Elizabeth Haynes, Mary Nelle Arms, and Fannie Belle Gannon. Mrs. Gilley is survived by her husband Thomas Roy Gilley, Sr. sons and daughter-in laws, Roy and Mary Ann Gilley, Jerry Wayne and Carolyn Gilley all of Murfreesboro, A.C. Gilley of Beech Grove, Butch and Vamela Gilley of Woodbury, daughter-in-law Nancy Gilley of Hendersonville, and sister-in-law Nannie Gannon. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Visitation will be 12:00 noon until time of service at 3:00 pm Thursday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel. Reverend Jimmy Arms will officiate.
