Katherine Clark Taylor, age 87 of Smyrna passed away May 14, 2015. She was born in Soperton, GA, but grew up in Knightdale, NC. Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of the late Simeon Robert and Sarah Elizabeth Strickland Clark. She was also preceded in death by her husband John Dickerson Taylor who died in 1985 and siblings, George Clark, Pearl Hines, Louise Williams, Lamar Clark, Martha Ann Shows, Mamie Wall and Robert and Ida Clark. Mrs. Taylor is survived by two sons, Mark Taylor and his wife Kim of Hartsville, SC and Steve Taylor of Hernando, MS, daughter, Debra Taylor of Richmond, KY, brother, John Clark of Roanoke, VA, grandchildren, Fran Able and Jennifer Taylor, and one great grandchild, Carson Able. Funeral service will be 3:00pm Sunday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Dr. Lenny Farmer will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 Sunday until time of service. Interment will be 10:00am Monday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Taylor was a member of LifePoint Church and retired manager of Book World in Nashville. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
