Katherine Elaine Chavers Good Royal, Ph.D. age 70 of Murfreesboro died at her home Sunday July 26, 2015. She was a native of Indianapolis, IN and was Professor Emeritus Psychology Department at MTSU. Mrs. Royal was a graduate of Purdue University and member of Sigma Kappa Sorority, and Phi Kappa Phi Honorary Society. Mrs. Royal is survived by her niece, Lisa Ambrosio; nephew, David Chavers; step children, Michael Royal, Barry Royal and wife Sherry, Elyse Royal Johnson and husband Steve; 12 Step-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Bernice Chavers; step-daughter -inilaw, Anna Emory-Royal. Mrs. Royal was preceded in death by her husband ,Matthew Royal; step son, Wade Royal; parents, George and Mary Katherine Hester Chavers; brother, Richard Chavers. Graveside service will be 11:00AM Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
