Karen Ann Keel, age 81, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mabel and Robert Johnson.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Thomas Keel; children Andy Keel (Michelle), Kara Keel Moody (Chad), and Tamara Keel; her grandson Noah Keel; brother, Paul Johnson; and sister, Sharon Benners and their families.

Karen was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, sister and friend. Born and raised in Chicago, IL, she left her career as a radiology technician to raise her children when they moved from Chicago to Marietta, GA. She also helped many families by caring for their children in her home. Karen was very active in her church, volunteering and teaching Sunday school. She loved spending time with friends, reading and gardening. Her grandson, Noah, was her pride and joy. She will be missed so very much.

A small celebration of life will be held with her family. In lieu of flowers, consider donating to cancer research.
