Karen Sue Hall, age 68 of Smyrna, TN, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025. Born in Newton, IA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Mordock.

Ms. Hall is survived by her daughter Brandi (Kaitlyn) Stanfield; former spouse, Kenneth (Laurie) Hall; siblings, Judy, Shirley, Pam and David; and grandchildren, Kassi, Lillie, and Danakka Lee.

Karen was known to be authentically herself and always would tell you how it is. She was often described as a Sour Patch Kid, sour and sweet. Karen was also known for her intelligence. She loved to read and had a passion for helping others- she would do anything for you. Karen built a large community at Chappy's Bar and Grill, playing pool and electronic bowling, that her family says was a champion at. Her nickname was Mimi, as that was what her grandchildren called her. She loved spending time with her friends and family.

Visitation with the family will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Smyrna, TN. The memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM Thursday, October 9, 2025 following the visitation with Billy Johanan officiating.
