Justina Kirkland, age 63 of Murfreesboro died Wednesday April 8, 2015. She was a native of Sweetwater TN, and was daughter of the late Homer Sweeton and Valrie June Byars, and was preceded in death by her husband Harold Kirkland. Mrs. Kirkland attended Impact Church and was a retired Education Assistant for Rutherford County Schools, having worked at Smyrna Middle School and Stewarts Creek Elementary School. She is survived by her daughter, Tabatha Kirkland Hollaway and husband Guy of Texas; sister, Phyllis Bellamy and husband Gary of Sweetwater, TN; brothers, Garry Sweeton and wife Coleen of Murfreesboro, Darrell Sweeton and wife Robin of South Carolina, Bruce Sweeton and wife Julie of Maryland; companion, Larry Dale of Murfreesboro, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Funeral service will be 1:00PM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bill Adcock will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
