Julia Keeton McCool, age 69, died, Saturday, April 6, 2013. A native of Waynesboro, TN she was a long-time resident of Smyrna, TN. Mrs. McCool was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Townson Keeton and Mary Louise Stutts Keeton; and her husband William "Billy" Mack McCool who died in 1982. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00PM at Stones River Baptist Church in Smyrna. Brother Oscar White and Brother Daniel Carr will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. McCool is survived by her daughter, Mary McCool Yount and her husband, Jerry of Wake Forest, NC; brother, Thomas Townson Keeton of Wilmington, NC; and granddaughter, Lora Cathryn Yount of Wake Forest, NC. Mrs. McCool was a member of Stones River Baptist Church. She was a supervisor of the Map Department for the Rutherford County Property Assessor's Office and had held her position since being appointed in January of 1976. Rob Pope, Cody Wall, James Wall, Tim Quick, Robbie Quick and Jim Ross will serve as pallbearers. Shawn Pope, Troy Ross, Jack Miller, Andy Miller, John Mac Rutledge, John Thomas Keeton and James Kevin Keeton will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Stones River Baptist Church.
