Judy Gail Smotherman, age 68 of Murfreesboro, died Tuesday at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. She was a native of Marshall County, TN and the daughter of the late Roy Allen and Lois Isley Richardson. She was also preceded by her brother Allen Ray Richardson. Mrs. Smotherman is survived by her husband of 45 years Edgar "Bubba" Smotherman; two daughters, Susanne Smotherman Taylor and her husband Harry, Jr. of Lascassas and Rhonda Smotherman Cooper and her husband Chris of Murfreesboro; four grandchildren, Tyler Holland, Bailee, Addison and Christa Cooper all of Murfreesboro. Mrs. Smotherman never met a stranger and made many friends during the 14 years she worked at Walgreens in Murfreesboro. Visitation with the family will be 5:00 until 8:00pm Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ron Bevels officiating.
