Judy Yvonne Halpin Gann, age 61 of LaVergne, TN, died Friday March 9, 2012 at her home after a long battle with ALS. A native of Davidson County, she was the daughter of Vera Scott Halpin of Nashville, TN, and the late James Halpin. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Joe Halpin. Mrs. Gann is survived by her husband, Jerry Lee Gann, Sr.; mother, Vera Scott Halpin of Nashville, TN; son, Jerry Lee Gann, Jr. of LaVergne, TN: daughter, Tina McGriff and her husband Steve of Smyrna, TN; brothers, James Halpin of Joelton, TN, Lonny Halpin of Henrietta, TN, and Jerry Halpin Nashville, TN; sisters, Joyce Gillihan of Ashland City, TN, Dorothy Knight of Pleasant View, TN, and Beverly Travis of Chapmansboro, TN; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral services will be 3:30 PM Monday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Rev. Milton Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Gann was a member of the Baptist Church and a homemaker. The family would like to thank her home health nurse, Jamie, and caregiver, Darlene, Alive Hospice, Dr. Peter Donofrio and the staff at Vanderbilt Clinic along with the Muscular Dystrophy Association for the loving care given to Mrs. Gann.
