Judi Ann Gray, age 46 of Murfreesboro, died June 25, 2012 following a 5-year, hard fought battle with melanoma cancer. She was a native of Matteson, Illinois and lived in Knoxville, Tennessee for several years, where she began her life with Les. Judi was mostly known for her infectious smile, positive attitude, and loving spirit. She touched the lives of many people and was loved by all that knew her. Judi was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Murfreesboro and a loving mother of two wonderful children. She was a graduate of Southern Illinois University and was a dental hygienist for over 20 years. She also served as a diplomat for the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce and was very active in the community and her childrens schools. Judi is survived by her husband, Les Gray; son, Michael Gray; daughter, Taylor Gray; parents, Jerry and Sharon Miller of Zephyrhills, FL; sister, Jodi Sirard of Zephyrhills, FL; niece, Mackenzie Strickland of Zephyrhills, FL; nephrew, Jacob Burns of Andersonville, TN; aunt, Pat Kindt of Zephyrhills, FL; father-in-law and mother-in-law, C.L. and Pat Gray of Andersonville, TN; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cindy and Rick Burns of Andersonville, TN; and her yellow labrador, Murphy. This fund will be used establish a foundation supporting melanoma awareness and research. Visitation will be Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 4pm - 8pm at Woodfin Funeral Chapel Murfreesboro. A memorial service to celebrate Judis life will be Friday, June 29, 2012, at 11am at First Presbyterian Church, Murfreesboro with Reverend John Hinkle, Jr., Dr. Kaye Nickell, and Reverend Robert Harding officiating.
