Juanita Davis Burkhalter, age 90 died February 27, 2011. She was a native of Blount County Tennessee and was the daughter of the late J. Alfred and Katherine Cunningham Davis. Memorial service will be 2:00pm Friday at St. Marks United Methodist Church. Visitation will follow the service. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Blount County, TN. Mrs. Burkhalter is survived by four sons Jim (Ann) Burkhalter of Murfreesboro; Ted (Kathy) Burkhalter of Nashville; Terry (Connie) Burkhalter of Knoxville; and Ron Burkhalter of Marietta, GA; daughter Susan Scheuer of Peachtree City; GA; sister Jane Ella Modrall of Tullahoma, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Burkhalter was married to the late John C. Burkhalter, III who died in 2002. Mrs. Burkhalter was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church.
