Joyce Hall Williams, age 85, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Mrs. Williams was a member of Edgemont United Methodist Church, Florence. She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee where she did her undergraduate study, received her Masters Degree from the University of North Alabama where she was an English Professor and was a long time member of AAUW (American Association of University Women). Preceding her in death was her son, Luke Williams and her sister Marye Murff. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Lewis B. Williams, Jr.; children, Nancy West of Melbourne, FL & Susan Boada of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Sarah, Steven and Will. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 28, 2:30-4:00 P.M. at Edgemont United Methodist Church. Service will follow at 4:00 P.M. with Bro. Chris Montgomery officiating. There will also be a visitation Monday, August 29, 12:00 Noon-1:00 P.M. at Woodfin Funeral Chapel in Murfreesboro, TN. Interment will be 1:30 P.M. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Murfreesboro, TN.
