Joyce Marie Vaughn, age 72 of Walter Hill died Tuesday February 4, 2025. She was a native of Rutherford County and was the daughter of Mary Josephine O'Neal and Robert Lee Vaughn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, grandparents, Dessie Mae Dillon and Hezekiah O'Neal and Cumi Frances Watson and J. D. Vaughn, all of Walter Hill Community. She is survived by cousins and friends. Joyce was known for her strength, independence and love for her family.

Joyce was employed at Montgomery Real Estate, Morton Moving and Storage Company. She retired from Middle Tennessee State University in the Housing Department after working for over 50 years.

She was a member of many organizations which include International Association Professional, Office Professional of TN, MTSU Association of Secretaries and Clerical Employees, and MTSU Dames where she served as officers and committee chairs.

She was a 1970 graduate of Walter Hill High School and a 1974 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University.

Joyce was a member of Kelly's Chapel United Methodist Church and had attended St. Marks United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Wednesday February 12th 12 Noon until 2:45PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Graveside service will be Wednesday February 12th at 3:00PM at Evergreen Cemetery . Dr. Jim Clardy will be officiating www.woodfinchapel.com
