Joy Rhea Rambin Stewart of Murfreesboro died Thursday, March 7, 2013, age 69. Mrs. Stewart was the daughter of the late Frank and Shirley Heard Rambin and a native of Powhatan, Louisiana. Mrs. Stewart is survived by her husband, Tommy R. Stewart, a daughter, Stacy A. Stewart, and her husband, Jeffery Danielson, of New York, New York, a son, Michael D. Stewart, and his wife, Elizabeth Costner Stewart, of Dallas, Texas, and a granddaughter, Sara Joy Stewart. She is also survived by her brothers, Frank Rambin, III and Patrick Rambin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Ann Rambin Cox and Sue Rambin Burleson. Mrs. Stewart worked for many years as a social worker at Middle Tennessee Medical Center and Hospice of Murfreesboro. In her career, she helped many families through difficult times and touched the lives of many people. She received an associate degree from Northwestern State University of Louisiana, a bachelor degree from Middle Tennessee State University, and a master degree from the University of Tennessee. Mrs. Stewart was an avid gardener, an excellent cook, a loyal friend, and the best mother anyone could hope for. She will be greatly missed. Private family services were held at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, and Mrs. Stewart is buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Murfreesboro. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Mrs. Stewart be made to Caris Healthcare.
