Nora Josephine "Jo" Elizabeth Joyce, age 85 of Murfreesboro, died Saturday, March 21, 2015. She was a native of Bedford County and a daughter of the late John Luke and Gracie Frances Claxton Parker. She was also preceded by her husband, Hoyte Joyce; infant sons, Jerry Lee and Roy Hoyte Joyce; a sister, Louise Miller and brothers, Norman and Carl Parker. Survivors include two daughters, Regina Nelson and Renita Clower; six grandchildren, Lucas Nelson and his wife Stacey, Justin Nelson and his wife Carrie, Kristie, Courtney, Travis and Stephen Clower, and one great granddaughter, Emoreigh Clower, all of Murfreesboro; a sister, Aline Morgan and brothers, Bobby Parker and his wife Linda, and Donald Parker and his wife Martha, all of Shelbyville. Mrs. Joyce was a member of the Woodbury Road Baptist Church and retired from the MTSU library after 23 years of service as a library assistant in the periodicals department. She most recently worked as a switchboard operator at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center. Visitation will be Wednesday night from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bob Bush officiating.
